The EcoMaT Centre is located in Bremen’s City Airport, in Germany. It is located at the end of the street where the Airbus factory is placed, and a generous plaza is created to access this new building. The volume’s prismatic shapes, made of the Alucobond compound, give the building a technical, intangible and floating image.
A linear volume is proposed that can easily be modified for possible extensions or adaptations to other functions. Horizontally, the building is fragmented into blocks that adapt to the urban scale. In the vertical, the construction is divided into two office floors and two laboratory floors. The base is occupied by the latter, which are articulated by patios of different greens that, in addition, allow the entry of abundant light and air. The double-height lobby is also used as an exhibition hall.
