In 2015, the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) chose Lima, Peru, to host their Annual Meetings of the Boards of Governors. To meet this global event’s demands, the Government of Peru commissioned the development of the Lima Convention Centre, now one of the country’s most important architectural and cultural landmarks.
The project was managed under a fast-track construction model, with an ambitious schedule of just 18 months. Design development and construction were carried out simultaneously, requiring seamless coordination between all stakeholders. This approach presented a significant challenge due to the project’s complexity, the number of agents involved, and the tight deadline.
Thanks to efficient project management and innovative planning, the Lima Convention Centre was delivered on time, providing Peru with a world-class venue for international conferences, cultural events, and major conventions.
