Renovation of The Maternity Ward, Hospital de Barcelona

This project renovates equipment and refurbishes internal spaces on the sixth floor of Hospital de Barcelona. The original building, from 1987, required a complete update.

The renovation was carried out in phases. As a result, hospital activities continued without interruption during the entire construction process.

The maternity ward was transferred to this floor. It now includes 27 individual rooms with private bathrooms, instead of the original 30 rooms.

In addition, the nursing area was completely renewed. The waiting room was extended, providing more comfort and better accessibility for patients and families.

The room layout was reorganized to improve efficiency. Moreover, new materials, updated equipment, and modern furniture were introduced throughout the floor.

Exterior carpentry was also replaced. This upgrade improves both the heating performance and the acoustic characteristics of the hospital spaces.

Overall, the renovation of the maternity ward combines comfort, modern design, and technical efficiency, ensuring better conditions for patients and healthcare staff.
