The General La Mancha Centro Alcázar de San Juan Hospital serves as the main healthcare reference, providing services to 250,000 people across four provinces.
The hospital expansion and renovation follow a spatial scheme typical of compact hospital organizations, emphasizing tectonic clarity, singularity, and solemn visual impact.
From the user perspective, the design improves accessibility, integration, and interaction with healthcare professionals, ensuring comfort and functional efficiency for patients and staff.
The building is conceived as simple, practical, and durable, focusing on long-term functionality and sustainability while respecting the existing hospital complex.
Despite integrating with the existing structures, the design maintains its singular identity, creating a landmark with social and architectural significance in the region.
The compact volumetry enhances energy efficiency while maximizing versatility and functional performance, making the hospital adaptable to future healthcare needs.
