PINEARQ

Faculty of Economics and Business Studies of Granada University

The faculty of economics at Granada School of Commerce, founded in 1934, has expanded to accommodate increasing students and staff.

Currently, the project renovates the existing building, extends its volume, and constructs a new educational facility.

The extended building aligns with the original, maintaining continuity through consistent materials and architectural language.

Moreover, the new building runs parallel and connects via a bridge, enabling seamless circulation between spaces.

An open exterior structure acts as solar protection, improving interior comfort and enhancing energy efficiency.

Additionally, the project includes urban redevelopment with new pedestrian paths and wheeled traffic routes.

This improves accessibility and better integrates the faculty of economics within the surrounding urban area.

Combining historic preservation, functional expansion, and modern design, the project creates a flexible and sustainable educational environment.Ultimately, offers a welcoming space for both students and staff to thrive.
