2024 Environmental Performance
PINEARQ integrates sustainable development goals into its business strategy to contribute to a responsible built environment, to improve the quality of life, to reduce environmental impact and to promote ethical practices in its projects. For this reason, we are in compliance with the requirements of the ISO 14001 standard, which accredits our commitment to the environmental management of our activity and that of our projects.
Every year we analyze the environmental impact associated with our activity in order to ensure continuous future improvement. The ultimate aim is to ensure sustainable development while maintaining quality.
The improvement actions for this year 2024 have been the following:
- Energy consumption reduction of 14.63% Kw/hour per person.
- Replacement of all single-use cups with corporate cups and mugs in order to reduce the amount of annual waste. Overall, 64.7% of plastic cups have been reduced.
- Encouraging paper recycling: this year we recycled 253kg, 13% less per person than the previous year.
- Alliance with Cortizo to reduce the hospital architecture’s carbon footprint. The use of 100% recycled aluminum in projects is being promoted.
- Promotion in the company’s materials library of those products and construction systems with eco-labels that ensure a lower carbon footprint, due to their recycled or recyclable nature, the type of extraction of raw materials, etc.
- One Click LCA License: Leading software for life cycle analysis, WTPs and other sustainability needs in construction. The tool allows to analyze the life cycle of projects in the design phase, obtaining data at very early stages of the project.
PINEARQ’s efforts to reduce its environmental impact and optimize resources are continuous, so PINEARQ will continue to work this year and the following ones to improve its results.
