CENTRAL CAMPUS AT LÖRRACH HOSPITAL

The five-storey hospital building becomes the flagship of the campus and an element of reference in the natural environment. It is located to the north of the property and it is connected to different heights buildings which complement the campus uses. The latter are considered as pavilions in a forest to create a delicate transition between the healthcare centre and the natural landscape of the south.

The central open space that organizes the ensemble is proposed as a meeting room, covered and protected, with views towards nature. Each building is built around a patio, public or private, to optimize the entrance of natural light. The proposed activities are distributed as follows: forest in the south, which will be extended to the entire campus to form an acoustic protection screen; the building for child and adolescent psychiatry, with two floors; the medical centre, with three floors, and the park; the healthcare building and a mental attention centre, of five floors.
