SJDD’S PEDIACTRIC CANCER CENTER AT THE COAC
Albert de Pineda, together with Roberto Cortés and Carla Romagosa, explained the development of this new project, including the preliminary studies carried out by Pinearq and also a complete survey by hospital workers, and presented to the public an image of what the building, which is currently occupied by the nursing school, will transform to be the new pediatric cancer center.
Before Pinearq, the oncologist Andrés Morales, part of the hospital's technical team, explained why it is necessary to build a building dedicated exclusively to childhood cancer research. Moreover, Morales explained the previous work of collecting opinions and needs from patients, family members and hospital staff about their daily life and work in a center of these characteristics.
Finally, two representatives of the Pulseras Candela association presented what began as a way to help them spend time together, and today represents the effort of families and volunteers to raise funds to advance in childhood cancer research.
The video of the event can be seen on the COAC website.
