NEW MORGUE FOR THE PORDENONE HOSPITAL
The morgue is a forgotten space in many hospitals but in which the welfare and privacy of the deceased family members are fundamental. In the case of the Pordenone Hospital, which is located in a consolidated urban fabric, the comfort and tranquility of the citizens who live in the surroundings were also considered. The new building is totally underground, with a green roof covered with bushes that hides the activities of the morgue. The purpose was to create a single façade visible from the outside and a new open space for the hospital.
The construction of the morgue is a complementary work to the development of the new hospital complex of Pordenone. It is a project that Pinearq started in 2015 for the Azienda per l'Assistenza Sanitaria n.5 Friuli Occidentale; with the construction, collaborated Politecnica, Steam y Coprogetti.
